A little about me...
Hi!
My name is Mariana, but you can call me Mary. I'm from Brazil but currently I live in Los Angeles.
The idea of this site came from my three biggest passions: Journalism, Music, and Food.
Journalism because I always loved to read and to write. I've always been a very curious person since my childhood. Combine everything and there you go, why my choice for Journalism.
Music and I always had a special relationship. I played piano for six years, which was introduced by my mother, who's been playing it for the past 5 years. My father and my brother both play the guitar. Music always played a big role at my home. My father is still a great influence with his musical taste to the point that I decided to study Music Business at UCLA.
But perhaps the biggest fact here is food, which I mean, my love for cooking. That all started to change when, in the beginning of 2009, I found out I had high cholesterol for no apparent reason. With that diagnosis, I went online to research and understand what I could do to help lower it. I had to change my eating habits, which made me acquire a great amount of juice, delicious recipes. I love to try them and now, pass it on to you too. By the way, my cholesterol is under control!
My idea is to pair the recipes with amazing music to put you in the mood of cooking and to make it a pleasurable activity. Just have fun with it!
